Keyboard shortcuts
Every shortcut below is bound in the shipped app. Help > Shortcut Table shows a similar list inside Mantis; where the two disagree, this page follows the code.
Two conventions apply everywhere:
- Ctrl is ⌘ on macOS andCtrl elsewhere. Where a binding checks
Ctrlspecificallyon every platform, the table says Ctrl. - Single-letter shortcuts are ignored while you are typing in a text field.
Menus
Menu shortcuts use Alt on Windows and Linux, Option on macOS, with no other modifier.
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| File menu | Alt+F |
| Export menu | Alt+E |
| Plugins menu | Alt+P |
| View menu | Alt+V |
| Maps menu | Alt+M |
| Help menu | Alt+H |
| Verticals menu | Alt+Ctrl+V |
While a menu is open, each item shows a letter badge. Press that letter to run the item without the mouse.
| Menu | Letters |
|---|---|
| File | O Open New Space, I Info, V Visibility (owners only), S Set New Version, C Change Alias |
| Export | P download PDF, C export CSV |
| Help | D Documentation, S Shortcut Table, B Bug Report, O Overview |
| View | a section letter first, then the letter shown on the panel |
The View menu assigns its panel letters automatically from panel names, so they shift as the panel list changes. Read the badge rather than memorizing it.
Undo and redo
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Undo | Ctrl+Z |
| Redo | Ctrl+⇧+Z or Ctrl+Y |
These are deliberately not intercepted inside the Monaco editor or the terminal, so undo inside a code cell stays local to that editor.
Map tools
These pick the active tool for the focused map and work anywhere in the space.
| Tool | Key |
|---|---|
| Select | I |
| Lasso | Q |
| Magic Lasso | M |
| Path | P |
| Landmark | N |
| Journey | J |
| Semantic Ruler | R |
| Heatmap | H |
| Waypoint (opens the save dialog) | W |
| Clear all selections | Ctrl+⌫ |
| Delete all bags | Ctrl+⇧+⌫ |
There is no keyboard shortcut for the Reconstruct tool. Pick it from the tool island.
Selection modifiers
Held while you drag or click on the map.
| Action | Modifier |
|---|---|
| Add the new points to the current selection | Ctrl + drag |
| Remove the new points from the current selection | ⇧ + drag (Alt also works) |
| Append a cluster to the selection | ⇧ + click a cluster |
A lasso, path or magic-lasso commit is capped at 25,000 points. Past that the commit is truncated without a warning.

Panels and layout
Panel navigation is modal: hold Ctrl to enter it, and it ends when you let go.
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Enter panel navigation mode | hold Ctrl |
| Step between tabsets, top to bottom then left to right | Ctrl+↑ / Ctrl+↓ |

| Shrink or grow the tabset vertically | hold Ctrl, then ⇧+[ / ⇧+] |
| Open the panel switcher and jump to any open tab | Ctrl+P |
On macOS Ctrl+P downloads the PDF while
⌘+P opens the panel switcher, because the two bindings testdifferent modifiers.
Map (Legacy) only
The default map does not bind these. They work in Map (Legacy) and the Visual Brainstorming Map, which still carry the older on-map chrome.

with a selection it does both at once.
