Context Legacy
The Context panel lists every message you sent in the legacy chat session and labels each one with the bags whose names appear in its text. Its purpose is to let you see, at a glance, which of your questions were about which bags, and to jump back to any of them.
Heads up
Despite the name, this panel holds no agent memory. It stores nothing, sends nothing to the server, and knows nothing about your preferences or your previous sessions. For the Composer’s actual memory feature, see Composer.
Where to find it
View > Agents > Context. It is also part of the Rich and Visual Brainstorming layout presets.
What it shows
The panel is headed Chat Context. Each of your messages becomes one row, numbered in the order you sent them: Context 1, Context 2, and so on. Each row is labeled one of two ways:
- World context, when none of your bag names appear in the message.
- The bags it mentions, otherwise. Each matched bag is shown as a chip in the bag’s own color, followed by that bag’s summary, or No summary available when the bag has none.
Matching is a case-insensitive whole-word search for each bag’s name in the message text. Rename a bag and old messages stop matching it; name a bag something common like “data” and it will match messages that were never about it.
Click a row to scroll the chat transcript to that message and flash it yellow for about a second.
If you have not sent any messages, the panel reads No chat history yet.
What fills it
Only the legacy chat panel and the Voice Agent panel write to the message store this panel reads. Composer conversations never appear here. If the Composer is the only chat surface you use, this panel will stay empty.
Limits
- Your messages only. Replies from the model are not listed.
- Current browser, current space. The legacy chat panel restores its transcript from browser storage, filtered to the space you are in, and keeps at most 200 messages. Nothing is fetched from the server, and nothing follows you to another browser or machine.
- No preferences, no personalization, no cross-session memory. The panel is a list; it feeds nothing back to any agent.
- Clicking a row only works if the message is still rendered. If the chat transcript that contains it is not open, nothing happens.
